EASY Peach Cobbler

Easy Peach Cobbler

This peach cobbler recipe takes only minutes of active prep time.
It has just three ingredients, one of which is a butter cake mix.
I like to serve this easy peach cobbler warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:
2 - 29 oz. cans peach slices in heavy syrup
1 butter cake mix
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour one can of peaches and syrup in prepared pan.
Pour remaining drained can of peaches in prepared pan.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over peaches, pressing down lightly to moisten slightly.
Cut butter into very small chunks and dot over cake mix.

Bake 35-45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.

Mini Makeover

Mini-Makeover
When the hubs and I bought our home, the powder room downstairs was painted this "special" color.
I wanted a quick fix and painted as soon as I could. This was a day project and below are the results!
There are a few other things that I would like to do in here, but for us it's a MAJOR improvement. It's amazing what a little paint will do!!

It's amazing what a little paint will do!!(The powder room is where I decided to hang my garage sale find chandelier... Check out the before/after photos in my previous post! Not sure how to post the direct link here. Sorry!)

Perfectly Paris

Annual Ladies Dinner
Every year there is a ladies dinner at one of local churches. I absolutely LOVE themed parties and creating beautiful table decorations.
This year was no exception! Below are a few photos from the dinner and the "Paris" themed table that I worked on.
Each plate a Sassy lady on it with a shopping bag or great pair of shoes! I received TONS of compliments on the plates and they were a great find at a local discount store.

These were the gifts that I gave to each lady at our table. I eched the glass with a Fleur De Lis... I think they turned out perfectly!

This is a photo of Nanny and I . Nanny is my husbands Great-Grandmother and one of the sweetest women I know!
What a wonderful night!!

America's Favorite Past Time... and Ours Too!

During the Fall and Spring Seasons, we spend practically every night of the week at a ball game or practice. The busy schedule definitely makes life crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!!!
A few photos of my little man up to bat.
(I wish I could put them side by side in this order, but I have to figure out how to do that first.)

My Catcher! Apparently when you're a big time baseball player, it is "un-cool" to smile for the camera. Ha!

Let's Get Organized

I've been going through my photo files and trying to organizing them. Hopefully when I finish, I'll be glad I decided to get organized. Until then, I just want to scream!

I stumbled across this photo which I absolutely love!
There is no specific reason I love it, but every time I see it I smile.

I am simply in awe of anyone who can capture some of life's the most amazing moments with a click of the camera. I have ALWAYS been the "photographer" in the family/group and have a tendency to take an insane amount of photos (with absolutely NO talent). My very sweet hubby decided to surprise me with a new camera (which by the way, I have NO idea how to use), in hopes that I can capture some of the same moments that I "ohhhh" and "awwww" over.

I've started to do some research and I'm looking for advice/guidance for simple tips to help me make the most of my gift!

I love my hubby SO very much and I am grateful that he thought to surprise me. In his eyes I am capable of accomplishing anything I put my mind to. I can't let him down! ;-)

This Little Light of Mine

We finished another project!
I was wanting a chandelier to hang in the downstairs bathroom and this one was found at a GARAGE SALE! It was definitely in need of a makeover.

First Step: PRIMER

Second Step: BLACK PAINT

(I LOVED the idea of a black chandelier with crystals)

AND... the finished project!

I had the crystals at home from a previous project and I think they worked just perfectly!

Now... if you could've seen the before photo of this bathroom, you would be in complete amazement of the transformation. It was just HIDEOUS!

Hoppy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and took time to reflect on the true meaning of this very special holiday. I know we did...
Below are just a few photos from our Easter weekend.
Tidbit dying eggs... being the creative family that we are, we absolutely LOVE dying eggs! My little man is a perfectionist and is not please until the eggs are "Just Right"!

Mini Key Lime Cheesecake Easter Baskets... Yummy!!

Decorating cookies would not be the same without personalizing at least one. If it has your initial, no one else can eat it. Right?!

A quick family shot

I'm not quite sure how to post more than 4 photos at a time without going through Photobucket... but will keep trying until I figure it out!

A MASTER Makeover

We decided to FINALLY makeover our Master Bedroom.
Many people have mentioned that they'd love to makeover a room in the house, but don't have enough money to do much. SO... I have been on a mission to see how much we could accomplish with a small $500 budget. The photos below show how much we accomplished without going over budget... BE INSPIRED! ;-)
BEFORE:
(I don't think you should ever have white walls in your home.)

AFTER:

(It's amazing how warm a room can feel after adding a little color to the walls.)

The hubs and I designed and made the headboard. The PERFECT focal point for $50!!

We wanted the bedroom to be completely different than any other room in the house (like a get-a-way) and I believe we accomplished that!

Be inspired... it IS possible to have an amazing transformation with a small budget! We plan on purchasing a rug and I will be painting some art for the walls, but wanted to share photos of the room with $500 worth of change!
**Side note: Maybe that is what I should blog about... Making something out of nothing, using hardwork, patience and a small budget. Just a thought**
